Functional Medicine Veterinary practice in the Littleton, Colorado area is now interviewing veterinary candidates. We are expanding our first location that was established in 2003. Our current practice, offers specialty dentistry, rehab, behavior, exotics, and general veterinary medicine. We have experienced a great deal of growth in the past 15 years and a high demand for alternative modalities. This has inspired our team to look for strong veterinarian candidates that will benefit from our team's support and resources on this second location.

Our clinic will offer a unique foundation that underlies all of our services. Our primary goal is to provide an integrative and fear-free approach that caters medical and adjunctive therapies to each individual case with an emphasis on proactive wellness.
We will offer conventional services such as comprehensive diagnostics, advanced dentistry, and surgery. Our innovative therapies will include nutritional counseling, western and Chinese herbs, acupuncture, chiropractic, homeopathy, vaccine titers, ozone, hyperbaric oxygen, fecal transplants, stem cell therapy, and cold laser. The paraprofessional team will be highly utilized to improve efficiency and patient care.
We will offer a strong educational platform for both our clients and our team. An emphasis on thorough client education regarding preventative care, diagnostics, and treatment options will further our goals of a supportive approach to whole body wellness. This will be facilitated by supporting our staff in continuing education in areas such as communication and other adjunctive therapies.
We will also have a focus on the personal wellbeing of all our veterinary staff. Our management team will provide our veterinarians with the kind of support that mitigates the more challenging aspects of providing exceptional medical care. Ideal candidates for the position will have an interest in an integrative approach to medicine. Additional training in alternative treatment modalities will be a plus.
Builds rapport with clients by gathering information and listening to, and empathizing with their concerns.
Performs physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
Communicates with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive health care, and nutritional needs.
Maintains client/patient medical/surgical records and makes certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols.
Stays current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
Assists in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.
Works seamlessly with a highly skilled paraprofessional team. Relying on their skills and supporting their use.
Presents a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
Skills and Basic Qualifications
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university.
Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which applicant is to be employed.
Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics.
Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Works collaboratively with hospital team members.
Makes decisions confidently and effectively.
Manages time and tasks appropriately.
Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients.
Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth.
Veterinarians will be supported in pursuing their areas of interest.
