Our inviting practice is a newly renovated facility, well equipped to handle the vast majority of small animal patient cases we receive. Since we are several hours from specialty hospitals, we also handle many interesting and challenging cases that might not be seen by most primary care vets in larger communities. This is an ideal opportunity for experienced veterinarians and new graduates alike. No on call or emergency hours, along with our collaborative team with a wide range of experience and areas of interest, helps provide a healthy work/life balance. Bar Harbor is one of several towns located on Mt. Desert Island (about 8,000 year round residents). We spend most of our down time in Acadia, hiking, running and bicycling (on the carriage trails), kayaking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. There are a few climbing schools in the area, whale watching cruises, and more to explore. Bar Harbor is also an extremely dog friendly area, where many people take their dogs to work or allow well behaved dogs in their shops and restaurants.
