| The Veterinary Medical Center at Lakewood Ranch is a new stand alone hospital in the Sarasota/Bradenton, FL area. Our hospital is located in a fast growing community where most clients can afford work ups and continued care for their pets. We are about 1 hour south of Tampa and approximately 20 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico. We currently have 3 full time doctors and 14 support staff. We are looking to add one more full time small animal veterinarian to our team who enjoys working up cases and practicing in a forward thinking environment. Our hospital is privately owned with a strong focus on work/life balance. A full time schedule is 3.5 days/week with every other Saturday off. We are open 8a-6pm Monday through Friday, and Saturday 8a-2pm. Our technicians are skilled and able to focus on patient care so that our doctors can focus on practicing medicine. We have all the latest diagnostics and treatments in hospital (i.e. Doppler, ICU oxygen unit, in house Abaxis blood and urine machines, dental X-ray, ultrasound, full anesthesia monitoring SPO2/CO2/HR/RR/Temp, defibrillator, etc.). Our hospital is equipped with 7 exam rooms, a welcoming reception area, a surgery suite, a separate dental suite, an ultrasound room, ICU oxygen unit, separate isolation facilities ...and more. We want you to have all the tools you’ll need to practice excellent medicine. Our appointments are booked every 30 minutes to allow adequate time with each client/patient.
