Blue Ridge Equine Clinc
Goals of the Externship: Externships at Blue Ridge Equine Clinic are offered to current veterinary students, with a preference given to 3rd and 4th-year students. During the externship, the individual will assist all doctors in providing care including patient treatments and after-hours treatments. Externs work closely with interns. Application Process: Applicants should send a letter of intent complete with preferred dates and a resume to Frontdesk@blueridgeequine.com. An externship (preferably at least two weeks) is a prerequisite for candidates seeking an internship at Blue Ridge Equine Clinic.
Availability: Year rounds, busiest times May through September

Prerequisites: Basic equine husbandry Insurance Requirements: Student in good standing at an accredited Veterinary School, completion of AVMA PLIT Student Professional Liability Application prior to the start of the externship |
Additional Salary Information: Housing - onsite included Transportation to the clinic is made available for those students arriving in Charlottesville by plane [Charlottesielle Airport (CHO)], train (Amtrak) or bus terminal into Charlottesville.
