Veterinary Technician The Department of Veterinary Technology at Medaille College invites applications for a Licensed Veterinary Technician. This is a full time 10-month position scheduled to begin in August 2021. To be considered, applicants must possess a current New York State license and demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Preference will be given to candidates with at least five years of experience in practice, with a small animal focus, and an emphasis on surgical nursing and anesthetic management skills. The candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate and work well with others, and demonstrate a professional attitude in both clinical and academic settings. The successful candidate will join our existing staff in performing duties such as providing clinical assistance in laboratories, mentoring students for academic and professional success, and directly and indirectly helping to care for animals on campus. The candidate will also work closely with faculty in coordinating and planning various labs, as well as assist in scheduling animals for use in laboratories. Medaille is a growing, private, four-year, liberal arts-based college in Buffalo, New York, serving the educational needs of traditional and non-traditional students in Western New York, Southern Ontario, and Rochester through a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs (www.medaille.edu).
