Mulford Animal Hospital is a privately owned and operated practice serving the Rockford, IL community since 1978. Nestled in the southeast corner of Rockford, we have ease of accessibility to I90, I39, wonderful downtown amenities, and beautiful forest preserves throughout the city. Our location is ideal with both country or suburban living at your fingertips and Madison, Milwaukee and Chicago just over an hour away. We are a 1.5 doctor practice with a full-time office manager/CVT and 10 support staff of CVTs, VAs and receptionists.
We believe in the true word of TEAM and support our staff in all aspects of the field. Advancement in career and knowledge is one thing we believe in whole heartedly and love when our staff brings new ideas and goals to the table. Our owner has been actively involved in academia and mentoring throughout her career and looks forward to helping our future hire further develop their skills. We understand the value of bringing new ideas and skills to our practice and encourage growth. Our team has been cross trained so they can be utilized by our doctors to create a more efficient and less stressful work day.
Our owner, Dr. Harbach, has 9 years of teaching experience with a very successful veterinary technician program. During that time she also did relief work so she has a wide array of experiences. She works as an attending veterinarian for the University of Illinois Rockford. Dr. Harbach also is the past president of the Northern Illinois Veterinary Medical Association and is currently a representative to the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association. She hopes to share her love of medicine and other aspects of the veterinary field with a new associate.

Equal Employment Opportunity
It is the policy of the company to afford equal opportunities to all applicants and employees regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, non-disqualifying disability or status as a disabled or veteran.
We strive to treat pets as if they are our own by focusing on providing high quality care for our patients throughout their lifetime from preventative medicine at first visits to extra sensitivity with end of life care. While dogs and cats are our focus, we also care for pocket pets and exotics (not required but encouraged). Our collaborative approach allows continuity between our staff and reflects in the satisfaction of our clients, who are well established and easy to work with.
We would like to have someone join our team who would be interested in performing basic surgeries: spay, neuter, mass removal and dental. We understand that the first few years can be hard to develop these skills but we are excited to mentor.
We would require working 3.5 to 4 days a week and some Saturdays.
