Rapid City is WONDERFUL! It’s South Dakota’s second-largest city and home to highly rated schools, outdoor activities all four seasons, mild winters, and a friendly, safe, and healthy community.
This is a full-time role; however, we’re also open to part-time. We prioritize personality fit over experience and will welcome an early career veterinarian or a more seasoned DVM. As our next Associate, our community would most benefit from a doctor who enjoys GP and/or dentistry and will take the time to get to know them. With that said, we will also help build your special interests, no matter what that might be!
If you’re interested in learning more about our practice and how we can tailor our benefits to meet your needs, we encourage you to apply!
In Rapid City, SD, small moments make the biggest impact: Loved for its proximity to six national parks/monuments (including Badlands National Park and Mount Rushmore), this Black Hills destination is home to outdoor adventure, a charmingly historic downtown, and a plethora of American Indian heritage. Large-scale outdoor adventures are abundant in southwestern South Dakota—from hiking, biking, and fishing to kayaking, rock climbing, and scenic drives that lead to a grassland view of 1,300 free-roaming bison. The second-largest city in the state, many locals and visitors adjust their schedules around Rapid City’s big events, like the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, the Custer State Park Buffalo Roundup, the Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo, and the Black Hills Powwow.
If you’re looking for a change of pace, Rapid City truly offers a contemporary vibe and a rich cultural heritage experience, all while being nestled amongst the ponderosa pines and life-sized presidential statues. Plus, South Dakota may have a reputation for brutally cold winters, but Rapid City is in the warmer southwest corner of the state, which has much milder temperatures—a great peace of mind for those who are hesitant to move up North.
