Sedalia Animal Shelter is a medium sized open-admission shelter with an annual intake of about 1,100 animals and a live release rate exceeding 90%. Our certified animal care providers and animal control work together as a team to provide the best care possible for our shelter pets. The staff veterinarian will provide direction to the shelter staff for the treatment of stray hold animals. After stray holds are up staff veterinarian will sterilize the animals and perform any other necessary treatments to the animal, as well as sterilize the animals for other rescues and shelters. Staff veterinarian will have the assistance of a registered veterinary technician. Staff Veterinarian will report to the Shelter Manger, direct the registered veterinary technician and form treatment plans
